Glenda Jane

Currently based in Adelaide, I am an experienced writer with articles that have featured prominent Japanese musical artists such as the GazettE, and extensive network in the Japanese music and pop culture scene.

Apart from music, my literary work consists of alternative fashion, pop culture, fictional stories, societal issues, third culture experiences, travel, linguistic essays, and supporting fellow POC/Asian creatives.

I have also MC’d and curated stage programs for AnimeGO! Japan Pop Culture Festival, including a livestream with the popular J-fashion model RinRin Doll.

With two published collections under my belt, my biggest passion in writing is poetry and prose. My poetic work is mostly based on raw emotions and displays the human struggle to work through our feelings.

Glenda showcases an emotive style of writing, with unique influences from their knowledge in Tagalog and Japanese. This creates a new world of expression for readers as their aim is to engross and envelope people into a vivid scenario painted with words. 

Glenda draws on personal experiences. Through struggles of mental health, cultural, gender and sexual identity; and a life abroad, they create informative and relatable works.
